Your belt matches your shoes. Your phone, watch and earbuds probably don't.
Most of us collect tech accessories one at a time. A case in September, a strap for a birthday, whatever came in the box for the rest. It all works, but it rarely looks like it belongs to the same person.
A matching leather set fixes that quietly. Here is how to build one, piece by piece.
What Is a Matching Leather Set?
A matching leather set is a group of everyday pieces made in the same leather tone: an iPhone case, an Apple Watch strap, an AirPods case, a MacBook sleeve, a passport holder and a wallet or cardholder. The pieces share one colour family, so your setup looks considered on the desk, at the gate and on your wrist.
Why Matching Works
- One visual language. Small objects are on show all day. The phone sits on the meeting table, the watch is on your wrist, the passport comes out at every gate. When they share a tone, the whole picture looks intentional.
- They age together. Full grain leather darkens and softens with use, and pieces carried side by side move in the same direction. Read more about why leather still matters.
- Future choices get easy. Pick a shade once, and every new piece is a simple decision.
The Six Pieces of a Matching Set
1. iPhone 18 Case
The anchor of the set, because it is the piece you touch most.
Our iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max cases are made from vegetable tanned full grain leather with a closed bottom, a metal camera frame, metal buttons, a sapphire crystal Camera Control button and built in MagSafe. They come in Saddle Brown, Dark Brown and Black. Our guide to pairing iPhone 18 finishes with leather can help you choose.
2. Apple Watch Strap
The piece closest to your skin, and usually the first to show patina.
Our full grain leather Apple Watch straps come in Saddle Brown, Dark Brown and Black, with a stainless steel buckle and connectors. They fit 38 to 42 mm and 44 to 46 mm cases. Prefer something softer or brighter? Our Nappa straps come in six shades, from Black to Orange.
3. AirPods Case
Small, pocketed constantly and more visible than you think.
Our full grain leather AirPods cases for AirPods Pro 3, AirPods 4 and AirPods 5 come in the same three core shades. Nappa versions come in six colours. Here is why an AirPods case has become an everyday essential. Upgrading to AirPods 5? Our AirPods 5 case guide explains why an AirPods 4 case still fits.
4. MacBook Sleeve
The largest surface in the set, so it sets the tone.
Our MacBook sleeves are made from soft full grain Nappa leather with a zip closure and a soft protective interior. They come in Black, Grey, Avocado Green and Turquoise Blue, in sizes for MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and MacBook Neo.
With a brown set, a Grey or Black sleeve works as a calm base.
5. Passport Holder
It is on show at check in and border control, which makes it one of the most public pieces you own.
Our full grain leather passport holder is slim enough for a jacket pocket and has slots for boarding passes, cards and ID. Saddle Brown, Dark Brown and Black. For the rest of the bag, see our leather travel essentials.
6. Wallet or Cardholder
The piece you reach for at every till.
Our slim leather cardholder holds up to seven cards, keeps folded notes in the centre and blocks RFID scanning. At 10 by 6.5 cm, it disappears into a trouser pocket. Saddle Brown, Dark Brown and Black. Here is why a good wallet or cardholder is worth it.

Three Ways to Match
The Full Match
All Black. The only shade available across all six pieces. Clean, discreet and very hard to get wrong.
The Tonal Set
Saddle Brown or Dark Brown for the phone case, strap, AirPods case, passport holder and cardholder, with a Grey or Black MacBook sleeve as the base. Warm, relaxed and richer every month.
You can also mix the two browns. They belong to the same warm family, so they read as a set, not a mistake.
One Accent
Keep the core pieces in one shade and let a single Nappa piece bring the colour: an Avocado Green strap or a Turquoise Blue sleeve. One accent looks deliberate. Three look like a sale rail.
How to Build Your Set
- Start with your phone. Choose the shade of your iPhone 18 case first, since it is the piece you handle most.
- Add the strap. Your phone and wrist are often seen together, so match these two next.
- Match the AirPods case. It sits next to your phone on the table.
- Choose the MacBook sleeve. Black for a full match, Grey or Black as a base for browns, a Nappa colour for an accent.
- Finish with travel pieces. Add the passport holder and cardholder in your core shade.
- Check in daylight. Lay everything side by side by a window. If no piece looks noticeably lighter or cooler than the rest, the set works.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should leather accessories match exactly?
No. They should sit in the same colour family. Near matches look natural, while identical shades on every surface can look staged. Aim for one tone, not one dye lot.
Can you mix brown and black leather?
Yes, if you do it on purpose. Keep one colour for the pieces you carry together, such as your phone case, strap and AirPods case, and use the other as a base. A Black MacBook sleeve under a Saddle Brown set is a good example.
Will matching leather pieces still match as they age?
They stay in the same family, but they don't change at the same speed. A watch strap meets your skin every day and usually darkens first. A passport holder that travels twice a year changes slowly. That small difference gives the set its character.
Which Apple Watch band sizes do your leather straps fit?
Our straps come in two sizes. One fits 38, 39, 40, 41 and 42 mm cases. The other fits 44, 45 and 46 mm cases. If you are unsure, check the case size on your watch's original box before ordering.
What is the difference between full grain and Nappa leather?
Both are full grain leather in our range. The difference is the finish. Nappa is especially soft and smooth, and it carries our brighter colours. Saddle Brown, Dark Brown and Black are our classic finishes.
Is a matching leather set a good gift?
It is one of the easier gifts to get right. Choose a shade once, then add a piece for each occasion. Our Apple Watch straps and AirPods cases arrive in a gift box, ready to give. For more ideas, see our guide to leather gifts.
